The groundbreaking initiative was launched by Arts & Architecture magazine in the mid-1940s to explore how modern architecture could be applied to everyday postwar living.<\/p>\n

What ties all of these houses together isn\u2019t just style. They introduced ideas that are now taken for granted like open floor plans, floor-to-ceiling glass, indoor-outdoor living, and minimal structure with maximum effect. <\/p>\n

At the time, these were all radical concepts. Today, they\u2019re everywhere.<\/p>\n
