Independent real estate brokerages will soon have a new path to compete with national conglomerates without sacrificing their autonomy.<\/p>\n

Rodland Private Members<\/strong> \u2014 a membership platform launching this fall \u2014 will give independent firms <\/a>access to enterprise-grade artificial intelligence (AI)-powered operations through its proprietary RoRo platform.<\/p>\n

The program, announced by Rodland Real Estate<\/strong> founder Tim Rodland, aims to address what he calls a structural gap in real estate \u0442\u0435\u0445\u043d\u043e\u043b\u043e\u0433\u0438\u0438<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As industry consolidation accelerates, independent brokerages have faced a binary choice Rodland hopes to make obsolete; stay small or join a larger system.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we decided to focus on was, \u2018How can we empower the independents like us to not have to give up their margins, their commissions, all of these different things?\u2019\u201d he told \u0416\u0438\u043b\u044c\u0435\u041f\u0440\u043e\u0432\u043e\u043b\u043e\u043a\u0430<\/strong>. \u201cWe decided that by opening our Rodland membership platform, we could provide independent brokerages with the technology they need to compete with some of the biggest firms in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile the world is focused on consolidation, our mission is to empower the independent, the brokerage owners, the boutique guys that don\u2019t want to sell their business. They don\u2019t want a franchise. They want to preserve something that their great grandfather handed down to them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Built from brokerage experience<\/h2>\n

The RoRo platform was not conceived in a technology lab but emerged from Rodland\u2019s own operational challenges at his Bahamas-based brokerage \u2014 a process he discussed<\/a> with HousingWire earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Rodland said a light bulb moment came when other brokerages began asking how they could access the system.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were getting requests from other people, like, \u2018Hey, how can I have part of it?\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cOr, \u2018How can I get a piece of this?\u2019 When we started [working on RoRo], we thought, \u2018Well, we\u2019re just going to fix our operations,\u2019 and that it would be sort of a competitive advantage. Now it\u2019s become, \u2018How do we help others with this?\u2019 And so that was kind of the aha moment for us, and we ran with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

RoRo integrates real-time market interpretation, workflow automation and conversational decision support.<\/p>\n

The platform ties directly into \u041c\u041b\u0421<\/a> systems or any listing data repository, delivering insights in real time.<\/p>\n

Rodland said this eliminates the process of manually downloading comps, plugging them into spreadsheets and running formulas \u2014 work that traditionally consumed hours of agent time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you save more time, you\u2019re able to sell more real estate,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re helping you to be more efficient. We\u2019re helping you to modernize your system so that agents can actually be out in the field doing what they love, which is connecting with these relationships and that culture, instead of being bogged down by mundane admin tasks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Preserving culture, not diluting it<\/h2>\n

Some brokerage owners worry that adopting a centralized AI platform could dilute company culture or make operations feel less personal. Rodland argues the opposite.<\/p>\n

The RoRo platform is designed to integrate with existing workflows rather than forcing brokerages to overhaul operations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not saying to stop doing what you\u2019re doing and change this and change that,\u201d said Rodland. \u201cThere may be some things that you might need to change because you\u2019re operating on something that was made 20 years ago. But for the most part, we\u2019re building our platform around the existing brokerage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people are resistant to change. So, we thought we\u2019d build the AI systems around what they\u2019re used to, and that\u2019s the idea here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Membership and availability<\/h2>\n

Rodland Private Members is structured around an annual membership fee and a per-agent seat, with complete pricing details to be announced shortly.<\/p>\n

Membership is open to independent brokerages across any MLS or database. An evaluation process will assess each applicant\u2019s \u201cquality, forward-thinking approach and commitment to service,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n

The platform is available in the U.S. and Canada, with select international markets also expected to become eligible, Rodland said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCompanies want to own their tech stacks. They want to own their data,\u201d he said. \u201cThey want to have privacy around their data. When we tie into your MLS, your agents now can access information in real time, and if they have other private databases, we can tie that in, as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
