American Real Estate Associations<\/strong>\u2019 (ARA) latest members are all agents and brokers at Compass International Holdings<\/strong> brands.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Agents who are brokered at any of company-owned operations under the Compass International Holdings umbrella will receive complimentary membership for the remainder of 2026 and all of 2027, according to an announcement on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

ARA\u2019s current membership structure<\/a> allows for agents to join the trade group for $20 per year or pay $1,500 to become a founding member, which covers dues for 10 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cCompetition makes every industry better,\u201d Robert Reffkin, the chairman and CEO of Compass International Holdings, said in a statement. \u201cFor too long real estate professionals have lacked real choice in national representation. By joining the American Real Estate Association, we are supporting a competitive alternative that must earn agents\u2019 trust and prove its value. Our agents will have the choice to join this residential real estate association that is now competing for its members to provide better value.\u201d<\/p>\n

ARA was co-founded in 2024 by \u0410\u0433\u0435\u043d\u0441\u0442\u0432\u043e<\/strong>\u2019s Mauricio Umansky and Compass agent Jason Haber.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The addition of Compass International Holdings\u2019 agents to ARA comes roughly a month after the trade group \u043e\u0431\u044a\u044f\u0432\u043b\u0435\u043d\u043e<\/a> it was welcoming \u0420\u0415\u041c\u0410\u041a\u0421<\/strong> president and chief growth officer \u041a\u0440\u0438\u0441 \u041b\u0438\u043c <\/a>\u043a \u0435\u0433\u043e \u0441\u043e\u0432\u0435\u0442 \u0434\u0438\u0440\u0435\u043a\u0442\u043e\u0440\u043e\u0432<\/a> and providing all REMAX agents in the United States with a complimentary first-year membership.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u0414\u0443\u0433\u043b\u0430\u0441 \u042d\u043b\u043b\u0438\u043c\u0430\u043d<\/strong>, which has more than 6,600 agents, recently aligned with the association, integrating its agents into ARA\u2019s membership. Douglas Elliman president and CEO \u041c\u0430\u0439\u043a\u043b \u041b\u0438\u0431\u043e\u0432\u0438\u0446<\/a> and general counsel Deva Roberts both serve on the ARA board, as does Briggs Elwell, CEO and co-founder of real estate technology firm <\/strong>RLTYco<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe decisions by brokerages of all different sizes, types and business models to join the ARA confirms how hungry the market was for competition and innovative, agent-first leadership,\u201d Elwell said in a statement. \u201cBy pairing the association\u2019s uncompromising advocacy with this massive agent footprint, we are equipping professionals with the tools and representation they need to thrive as true business owners.\u201d<\/p>\n
