Burrow’s Latest Chair Proves the Curved Furniture Trend Is Here to Stay

The easy-set-up (and internet-adored) furniture brand has a new seating collection in a host of exciting colors and fabrics.

When you’re putting together a lounging area in your home, whether you’re furnishing your living room or creating a reading nook, the priority is finding pieces you can cozy up in—but also allow you to sit in style. Burrow, the luxury furniture-in-a-box brand, is introducing two new options that let you do just that.

The brand’s new Ember collection features a sofa and a sectional with a traditional feel that takes inspiration from American mid-century modernism and Scandinavian style. But we’re most excited about the Gimlet: a lounge chair influenced by Danish and Japanese aesthetics with an ergonomic design that’s optimized for the best lumbar support.

With a low-slung profile and distinct mid-century modern feel, the chair seamlessly fits into most interiors, perfect for a corner reading spot or added seating in your living room. Its contour-friendly design means long-lasting comfort for hours of reading, TV watching, or napping.

Burrow did extensive testing to make sure the Gimlet offers maximum relaxation opportunities to go with its elegant design. You can choose from the Performance Boucle in Moss Green or Oatmeal to go with a wide range of color palettes, or opt for the Camel option, made of top-grain Italian leather for a more classic look. If you’re looking for additional support, you can add on an ottoman. (If you buy the chair and ottoman together, you get them at a discounted price.) A pair of these chairs and ottomans provide a modern alternative to the recliners of the ’60s and ’70s—super comfortable, with a much sleeker look.

The new offerings prove the curved furniture trend is here to stay, and the Ember sofa embraces the soft, cozy feel that rounded corners and edges bring. The 24-inch deep seat is made for comfort and relaxation, with seat cushions that wrap around the front of the sofa to emphasize the look.

The Ember is available in two easy-to-clean Performance Chenille upholstery options in the nature-inspired Sage and Seaglass, along with customer-favorite shades Georgia Clay and Crushed Gravel. You can go with Oak or Walnut for the legs. The customization doesn’t stop there: Choose your own configuration, from a loveseat to an 8-piece U-shaped sectional.

“Ember adds a transitional, contemporary feel to our seating offerings while still integrating the mid-century design elements our customers know and love,” said Stephen Bowen, senior manager of furniture design at Burrow, in a statement.

Both the Ember sofa collection and Gimlet chair are available starting June 11 on burrow.com.
