It even skims the surface and vacuums the floor while you’re on vacation.

This summer marks year three of us having a pool, and it has certainly been a learning curve. My partner and I have gone through one expensive mishap after the other, including a new liner and potential termite damage, causing us to bring in the pool experts several times. Once the significant issues were resolved, I was excited to try out and review the Beatbot AquaSense Pro Robotic Pool Cleaner and now, after using it for the past two months, it’s the only robotic pool cleaner I’d personally recommend. And you can trust me because I’ve tried several.
As total pool newbies who could use as many high-tech, time-saving features as possible, this robotic pool cleaner has cut the time and effort of our weekly pool maintenance in half. And it’s left our pool clearer and cleaner than ever. Just check out this snapshot of our pool (below) when we opened it in May; between the pollen, overgrowth of algae, and other debris, it looked like we might’ve needed to get a professional power vacuuming done—which I really didn’t want to pay for.

The Beatbot AquaSense Pro Robotic Pool Cleaner’s five-in-one comprehensive cleaning coverage focuses on clarification, surface, floor, walls, and waterline. While it definitely took more than one pass, the cleaner confronted every problem area in the pool—and on a single charge. With up to six hours of cleaning power on one charge, the cordless cleaner ran all five cleaning processes in a row and was instrumental in cleaning that initial opening-day mess as quickly as possible.

Since then, we’ve been running this robotic pool cleaner about every two days. During one two-week span of an unprecedented heat wave, the cleaner proved to be indispensable at eliminating algae overgrowth quickly. The recent, extremely high temperatures usually allows algae to thrive, but the Beatbot never gave it a chance.
The robot pool cleaner also syncs to Wi-Fi, so you can control via an app on your phone, has 5,500 gallons per hour (GPH) of ultra-strong suction, and features 20 sensitive navigation sensors that inform either N- or S-shaped cleaning patterns. But out of all of its heavy-duty features, skimming surface mode is my favorite and the biggest time saver of all.
This handy-dandy function keeps the pool cleaner at surface level, picking up debris like leaves, acorns, bugs, and pollen from the top of the water. According to Beatbot, the pool cleaner can sustain this function for up to 9.5 hours, although I prefer to take advantage of this mode while we’re actively using the pool. Not only does it eliminate the need to skim the surface by hand before we jump in, but it also ensures that the pool stays continually clean as we swim.

Since we travel a decent amount throughout the summer, we’ve also really come to love the pool cleaner’s Eco Mode. Every other day (for as long as we’re gone), the cleaner vacuums the floor, which means we get to come home to a clean pool with little to no effort on our part.
