Jordan Belfort’s ex Long Island home from his “Wolf of Wall Street” days quietly sells for top dollar

The onetime Long Island mansion of “Wolf of Wall Street” figure Jordan Belfort has sold off-market for $6,875,000, marking the highest sale in Old Brookville year-to-date. The discreet deal at 5 Pin Oak Court was handled on the seller side by Joe Scavo of Douglas Elliman.

Famous from Belfort’s headline-making years — later immortalized in Martin Scorsese’s 2013 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio — the property remains one of the North Shore’s most recognizable addresses.

Since its last public trade in 2018 for $2.4 million, the residence has undergone a full interior renovation that balances preservation and polish. And clearly, the extensive revamp was worth the effort, given the premium sale price.

An 8,700+ sq. ft. North Shore mansion

Set on two acres, the ~8,700-square-foot stone-and-stucco mansion is classic Old Brookville: private, grand, and wrapped in mature landscaping.

Inside, the owners restored signature elements, from solid mahogany doors to the checkerboard marble foyer/dining room and iconic bar, then reimagined the layout with a clean, contemporary design that fits how people live now.

What changed since 2018

Douglas Elliman

After trading for $2.4M in 2018, the owners took the interiors down to the studs where needed, preserving the character pieces that defined the home while upgrading flow, finishes, and systems.

The result: rooms that feel brighter and more functional without losing the house’s cinematic personality.

Not to be confused with ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ mansion

The movie used a different (and more cinematic) house for Belfort’s on-screen residence: a mock-Tudor estate at 39 Chestnut Hill Drive, in Oyster Bay.

Scorsese’s production stitched together several Long Island locations for key scenes: the wild beach-house party was shot in Sands Point, parts of the outdoor wedding were filmed in Bayville, and an equestrian estate in Mill Neck (324 Calf Farm Rd.) was also featured and later hit the market.

Together, they created the composite “Belfort mansion” seen on film — but none of those are the Old Brookville property that just set the local record.
