Is it a stand mixer or is it a statement piece? According to KitchenAid, the answer should always be both. The brand has long been rolling out the most aesthetically-pleasing stand mixers on the market, complete with dozens of different colors and designs to choose from. But until now, you’ve only had one option when it came to the bowl.

For 2024, KitchenAid’s Design Series released a special-edition mixer that features a gorgeous wooden bowl—finally giving lovers of cottagecore and farmhouse design an opportunity to match this kitchen essential to their style.

The bowl is the first of its kind, made of walnut with a distinct wood grain pattern. It’s sturdy and durable with a food-safe finish, so its functionality lives up to what you can typically expect from KitchenAid.

Aptly named Evergreen, the mixer comes in a gorgeous deep forest green color. With its matte finish, subtle leaf design on the trim band, and a glossy forest-colored knob, the monochromatic mixer is ever-so ruggedly chic.

KitchenAid Design Series Evergreen Stand Mixer

With green kitchens, backsplashes, and nature-inspired wall colors continuing to trend this year, the Evergreen mixer makes the ideal choice for someone who wants to match their kitchen essentials to the rest of their home. The deeper shade is a popular move because it feels like it’ll never go out of style, managing to give off a calming and luxurious energy at the same time. And for those who want to go all-in on the organic, earthy look, the wooden bowl is the extra detail that brings it all together—stainless steel just doesn’t fit in with rustic elements.

Evergreen is a bit of a 180 from the KitchenAid Color of the Year release: In February the company announced the addition of Blue Salt, which came with iridescent finish and had more of a bright and playful look that makes more sense in a kitschen or eclectic space.

We can’t wait to add the sophisticated, trendy-yet-timeless look of the Evergreen mixer to our kitchens. As of now, this is the only one that comes with a wooden bowl—but we’re hoping that could change in the near future.

If you’re ready to bring the outdoors straight to your kitchen, look out for the mixer starting September 9. It’s available to purchase online from KitchenAid or select retailers for $699.
