My favorite home items from 6 years’ worth of FabFitFun boxes

Today, I’ll take you on a walk around the house and show you my favorites from all the home items FabFitFun has sent me over the years.

If you haven’t heard about FabFitFun yet, you must be out of their target demographic entirely.

The lifestyle subscription box is both a viral sensation and the hub of a vibrant community of women. It reportedly had over 2 million paying members in 2024, but that doesn’t even factor in past members.

A sensation among millennials and Gen X-ers throughout the United States, Canada, and the UK, FabFitFun has a subscription model that offers both yearly plans and quarterly orders, with some members opting to stay with the brand long-term or re-subscribe seasonally based on the product choices available.

Their seasonal boxes, which ship four times a year, are filled with beauty, skincare, wellness, and fitness products, and items for the home.

Today, we’re going to focus on the latter, and I’ll take a walk around the house and try to pick my favorites from all the products FabFitFun has decorated my house with over the years. Be warned, there are quite a few (I never shied away from adding a good add-on, if the value was there); but the photo quality might not be up to FFF standards (a photographer, I am not).

But I have been a subscriber for well over 6 years now, and have quite the collection of FabFitFun home items. Here are my favorites, from both past and recent boxes:

Houseplant care kit

This one arrived just in time as I’m working on developing my green thumb and filling up each corner of the house with houseplants — and, it turns out, houseplants can be quite pricey nowadays, so there’s not that much room for error.

Luckily, my latest FabFitFun box included an Essential Houseplant Care Kit from We The Wild. Including three organic products created especially for potted plants (Grow Concentrate for Fast Growth, a Protect Spray with Neem Oil, and an Enrich Powder for Soil Health), it promises to assist me in becoming “a better plant parent” — and I’m grateful for all the help I can get here.

Luxury plush blankets

I’m not sure whether to be grateful that FabFitFun is fueling my UnHide blankets addiction or be mad at them for starting it in the first place. Either way, the UnHides are here to stay — and will likely just become greater in number. No issue with that, every member of the family loves them, from tall to small (and even the furriest little buddies will claim them).

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the brand, UnHide is a vegan fur blanket brand launched by Ellen Degeneres that feels like real fur. Their products are 100% cruelty-free and truly feel soft and luxurious. I was even lucky enough to catch a pillow in one of my boxes, to complement my Silver Fox Lil’ Marsh blanket.

My daily snug throw

Just because I love my UnHides doesn’t mean I didn’t keep my mind open to alternatives. And lucky I did, as the Sunday Citizen Snug Throw blanket has become a daily go-to. An easy throw to cover my feet when I’m writing, the lightweight blanket is still incredibly soft and comfy, and I can snuggle under it on warmer days without overheating.

Tiered appetizer tray & cheese knives

I have to admit, I’m not much of a hostess. This makes me extra grateful for the several FabFitFun home items that help me get ready to entertain guests. Over the years, I’ve grabbed quite a few serving trays, cheese sets, and even a tiered app tray from Short Stories, created in collaboration with lifestyle influencer Macy Blackwell.

When choosing the tiered app tray, I also had the option to grab some gold cheese knives from the same collection.

An elegant green vase

More of a need than a want (I really had no vase inside the house except for a small orange one I had picked up at Ikea when we first moved in), the Bouqs Co. Ceramic Vase is now a stylish addition to my decor.

However, I haven’t been keeping fresh flowers in it; instead, it’s been holding some bright coleus clippings that I’m excited to plant outside this spring.

KitchenAid products

Okay, this one had me at odds with myself at first. Not the bread loaf pan, I’ve wanted that item since I first saw the spoilers. That one was a clear choice. But was I ready to give up on some super stylish box choices to pick up a KitchenAid cheese grater instead?

Turns out, I was; and I haven’t regretted my decision for a single second, as the grater is solid and high-quality and I’ve been using it quite a bit already.

Ceramic berry bowls

Adding a pop of color to my fridge, the ceramic berry bowl set from Katie Kime has been in use for maybe three years now. And even though I was a little concerned at first that my berry-obsessed toddler would eventually drop one to the floor, I think the heft of the bowls helps even little hands get a good grip on them.

If you ever find a set in the “throwbacks”, I highly recommend getting your hands on one. They’re high quality and look gorgeous both inside the fridge and on countertops.

Digital food scale

I’ve had this for so long that I can’t even remember if it was a box choice or an add-on. But I love my Short Stories Kitchen Scale! After sitting in storage for over a year, I remember dusting it off after the lockdown hit and we all started baking bread at home (a habit I never quit after).

Plus, I’m in my “baking cookies and cakes” stage of my life, with a toddler in tow, so my food scale is handier than ever.

Measuring cups & serving bowls

While I love my newly acquired Greg Natale measuring cups, my favorite ceramic bowls are still the Pier 1 prep bowls that I got with my first FabFitFun box, many years ago. Despite being used on the daily in this house, not a single one got broken or chipped in over 6 years.

Beach towels

I first grabbed a blue Beach Riot towel with a summer box a few years back, and since my partner was always stealing it away, I was extra grateful to see a pink towel pop up during a recent sale. Now, we both have matching — but distinct — beach towels for our next getaway, and I can’t wait to see them waiting for us on a chaise longue, at the beach.

Desk air purifier

As someone who’s long been fighting allergies (and living in a dry, dusty old house), I quickly jumped at the opportunity to grab this next item.

Made particularly for small spaces (I’ve been keeping mine in my office), the Vio® Air Purifier is a HEPA-rated Air Purification System for small spaces that’s said to remove 99% of airborne particles such as dander, pollen, smoke, and dust.

Fancy cups and tumblers

From the Stojo collapsible cup (which came with 4 reusable straws) to the Sprinkles Tumbler, or the insulated stemless wine cup from Swig Life, I have a downright collection of FabFitFun-supplied cups.

Also yes, just in case you were wondering, I DO have the cactus cup too. But my 4-year-old has claimed that one for herself.

Are you a FabFitFun subscriber too? What was your favorite item for the home? We’d love to hear other favorites!
