Smart Point Strengthens UK Presence as Part of Global Growth

Smart Point, a leader in smart lockers and amenities management automation, has cemented its position in the UK real estate market, following a stellar first year.

The Spanish company, operating Portugal, Denmark, and Germany, has increased its UK presence by adding new clients and building its UK team. As of June 2024, the company has managed over 7 million parcels and services through nearly 10,000 compartments, serving over 200,000 individuals.

Smart Point’s smart locker solutions support error-free deliveries, reduce theft, and aid ESG efforts in line with net zero goals, managed through advanced dashboards. The company has already built a client roster of leading real estate companies, including Patrizia and Stoneweg, and the list is growing. Clients benefit from buildings gaining points towards key certifications, like BREEAM and LEED.

As one of Europe’s fastest-growing Proptech companies, Smart Point anticipates 2024 to be one of its biggest years yet. A highlight of Smart Point’s UK journey is its partnership with Node, the global asset manager and co-living operator. This collaboration, aimed at enhancing residents’ experience and improving safety and security, has already yielded impressive results. Node has seen parcel thefts drop to zero, significant reductions in operating costs, and a 717 kg reduction in CO2 emissions within the first six months. Resident satisfaction has remained high throughout, with user satisfaction scores at 5/5.

“The presence of Smart Point in our building has been a tremendous benefit. It provides a seamless experience for deliveries, offering residents peace of mind knowing their parcels are stored securely.” Said Harpreet Matharu, Community Curator at Node.

Smart Point has strategically expanded its UK team to continue to carve out a market-leading position. Smart locker veteran, Matthew Deacon, joins as UK Business Development Director, bringing over a decade of smart locker experience, having held senior positions at Quadient and BringMe. His wealth of industry experience will spearhead the continuation of Smart Point’s UK success thus far.

“Our partnership with Node reflects our intent to build on our mainland European success and grow our UK market. Said Edward Hamilton, CEO of Smart Point. “Having Matt on the team gives us the confidence to have the right level of experience and seniority to get in front of the right customers.”

Building on this momentum, Smart Point, with its SmartScore by WiredScore and ISO 9001 certifications, along with the backing of the EU EIT fund as an investor and promoter, is making strides in international markets. The company aims to streamline package and service delivery into a single, consolidated point, adding value for building occupants. Smart Point anticipates turnover growth to exceed €2 million in the coming months, representing a stronger presence across key markets.
