If you’re like me, you have no plans to ever live in a tiny house—but you do love to see what they look like on the inside. With each one I virtually tour, I always have the same questions in the back of my mind: Where’s the hidden storage? What size bed can fit in there? And how much does it cost?
Ever since I discovered that you can buy a tiny home on Amazon, my new favorite pastime is searching the retailer for portable residences, many of which will ship to you within a few weeks. Recently, I stumbled across a tiny house unlike the prefabricated ones I’d seen on the site previously. At over $40,000, it’s more expensive than the other offerings I’ve inspected (which typically fall in the $15,000 to $25,000 range). So, what makes this luxury tiny house unique?

For starters, it’s actually smaller than many of Amazon’s cheaper homes, measuring 18.75 x 9.8 x 10 feet. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in sturdy construction. Its steel frame and fiberglass exterior means it can’t be folded like other options on Amazon. The materials are also much heavier—this house weighs 15,500 pounds, while another tiny home I found for $25,000 weighs just 5,000 pounds.

One of my favorite features in this tiny house is the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedroom area is surrounded by glass on three sides, including a glass door that leads out to a deck. At night, the outdoor space is illuminated by three overhead lights as well as LED strips along the frame. In addition to one skylight, the interior is also lit by can lights and LED strips.
Behind the bed is a kitchenette and a bathroom with a glass shower stall. According to the manufacturer, the movable home can comfortably fit two adults and one child, which is pretty impressive for a house this size. So far, there are no reviews on this exact model, but I’ll be checking back to see what buyers have to say about it.
