Lenox
You can be honest—whether you’ve seen any of the petite houses in person or not, you’re obsessed with the Lenox Spice Village.
These 24 petite houses, first distributed in 1989, are tough to find—shoppers hunt for them at thrift stores, Etsy, eBay, and wherever else they can potentially get their hands on them. But if you haven’t found one of the original pieces yet, you’re in luck: Lenox will re-release Spice Village in 2024 after a nearly 35-year break in response to the viral demand for these pieces.

Users on TikTok and Instagram have been showing off their vintage pieces, taking viewers through their journeys of finding each and every Spice house until their Villages are complete. Featuring a neighborhood of adorably decorated houses, the houses of the Lenox Spice Village are made to keep each of your spices fresh, glowing, and cute as can be, and since their launch in 1989, they’ve grown beyond spice-keepers to become true vintage gems. If you’re lucky enough to find an original Spice house at a thrift store, you’ve struck gold.
In a video showcasing her collection to 2.8 million viewers on TikTok, Dani Klaric explains, “They’re hand painted with the cutest little details and also have 24-karat gold accents, and ever since they went viral during the pandemic, they’ve become more rare, which made them so expensive. They’re also adorable and functional, which is why everyone loves them.”
And now, you don’t have to set up a dozen alerts for every antique site or secondhand marketplace you can think of to get one: Lenox will be selling a second-edition line of its Spice Village in 2024 via the Lenox website and Macy’s stores.

Best of all, Lenox will even be honoring the original 1989 pricing, charging just $15 per individual house. (You’ll also be able to get a set of six houses for $72, or the complete 24-piece set for $285.)
So how can you get the second-edition Lenox Spice Village for yourself? Lenox has been teasing the return of the houses for a few weeks now, and on August 23, the brand confirmed that the houses will finally be available again. You can keep an eye on the Lenox site or sign up for updates.
If you’re determined to get a set of the houses for yourself, be prepared to act fast: More than 8,000 people have already signed up to be notified about pre-order details, the brand says, so once there’s a concrete way to grab these houses, they’re sure to go quickly.
