Compass continues to welcome agents to the firm, this time via two independent brokerage integrations in Texas. Vista Real Estate and Halo Group Realty are joining Compass, according to an announcement on Thursday.
Vista Real Estate serves clients in central Texas and has more than 60 agents, while Halo Group Realty serves clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and has 40-plus agents.
“We are honored to welcome Vista Real Estate and Halo Group Realty to the growing Compass family serving Texas,” Gabe Richter, Compass’s regional vice president for Texas, said in a statement. “The addition of Vista and Halo strengthens our ability to deliver extraordinary experiences for our clients in Texas, and we look forward to all that we will accomplish together.”
Over the past 10 days, Compass has witnessed the return of top Orange County, California-based agent Brian Sperry, as well as the hiring of Hamptons, New York-based luxury broker Terry Cohen and the addition of three top agents to The Gambino Group.
On Tuesday, Compass informed the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and MLS leaders that it is no longer adhering to the Clear Cooperation Policy or any other national MLS policy that it thinks will negatively impacts clients.
The brokerage is also currently facing its fair share of legal challenges — including being named as a defendant in a telemarketing lawsuit. That’s on top of other courtroom battles with Northwest MLS and Zillow.
