Home of the week: Kanye’s former Hidden Hills home is reborn as a $17M equestrian ranch

It’s been just about two years since Kanye West parted ways with his Hidden Hills home — and now the property is making headlines again, this time for an entirely different reason.

The address at 24877 Eldorado Meadow (which West bought as it was across the street from the $60 million home he’d shared with ex Kim Kardashian) has undergone a ground-up transformation, emerging as “Three Planes,” a modern equestrian estate with a $16.995 million price tag.

Far beyond your regular flip, the striking home designed by Jae Omar in partnership with H2 Development is a purpose-built, 11,000-square-foot architectural statement that draws on the Chumash people’s cosmology — a mythology of three realms: sky, earth, and underworld.

One of Los Angeles’ most sought-after designers, Omar’s work has been tied to properties once owned or sought after by DJ Zedd, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, Meghan Trainor, and even Cardi B and Offset. His projects have a reputation for setting price records, and this latest one may well continue the streak.

Situated just down the road from Kim Kardashian’s compound, “Three Planes” blends a wellness-focused floor plan with the equestrian heritage of Hidden Hills. The property about to hit the market with Veronika Khomyn of The Agency representing the listing.

The estate sits on 1.07 acres and spans about 11,000 square feet across two levels. It offers five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and one half bath. The primary suite is on the main floor, with four additional ensuite bedrooms upstairs.

Amenities include a wellness wing with a spa and gym, a resort-style pool and spa, a yoga deck, a horse stable, and multiple outdoor entertaining spaces.

Inspired architecture rooted in local history

The design nods to the Chumash people, the Indigenous tribe who once inhabited the region.

Materials like Shou Sugi Ban siding, Santa Barbara stone, and hand-applied plaster are paired with slate and metal roofing, giving the home a modern ranch profile that aligns with Hidden Hills’ equestrian character.

Interiors with warmth and intention

Inside, Omar’s signature organic modernism shows in vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, pale wood floors, textured stone walls, and a neutral palette. Antique pottery displayed in wall niches offers subtle tribute to Chumash artistry.

The warm interiors also stand in stark contrast to the brutalist nature of Kanye’s Malibu home, a Tadao Ando-designed architectural that’s been completely gutted and then sold as is.

The kitchen is finished with high-end appliances and custom millwork, and connects to a breakfast nook, walk-in pantry, formal living and dining rooms, a media room, a wet bar, and a private study. A glass-encased wine room adds a collector’s touch.

The living area is both imposing and inviting, clad in warm wood and anchored by a fireplace set between two large windows, connecting nature elements in a seamless way.

The space leads both to the nature-enveloped outdoor areas and to an eye-catching stone bar.
